One possible outcome of the current pandemic.

         The only thing on everyone’s minds – and I do mean everyone, as in globally – is the coronavirus. It seems that the global consensus is that the novel coronavirus is going to kill more people than the flu, or cancer, or heart disease, or traffic accidents, or old age.

         Here is a stone-cold fact. God said to Adam, “If you disobey Me, you will die.” Adam disobeyed and now – guess what – everyone, and I include everyone when I say everyone, dies. There is no cure for mortality regardless what politicians say.

         Death is the one constant that effects every human that has or ever will be borne.

         The fact that every human being will eventually expire – sooner or later – is not to mitigate the seriousness of staying healthy and fit for as long as possible to enjoy good quality of life. Taking precautions against illness is wisdom.

         My irritation comes from singling out a mutated flu virus and using it as a tool to destabilize the global economy. It is my sincere belief that this pandemic has been contrived by nefarious individuals to gain control of the global population.

         There is a one-world government foretold by God in the Bible. It’s ok if you don’t believe the Bible or don’t believe in God – that doesn’t change reality. And, just to be clear, reality is not a personal perception or definition.

         Reality is what actually exists – like a mountain. It doesn’t go away because someone refuses to believe it’s there; or a group of people agree that it’s not there. It’s there and it’s not going away. Just like God.

         Back to the point. This one world government spells the end of life on earth as it has existed for around six thousand years. (Again, a consensus doesn’t define reality. God actually created everything in six days about six thousand years ago.)

         There is a cosmic war in progress and there are only two sides. This is not news to anyone who pays attention to current events. This war is a conflict between good and evil.

         Evil is best described as the desire for world domination where the will of the powerful is imposed upon the weaker masses. Violations of the laws imposed by this dominant power is met with the most severe punishment – primarily death.

         Good is best described as populations that are governed by an Authority that enacts laws that protect the security and rights of individuals. People under this form of government are given the freedom to choose for themselves. Under this system, punishment of the violator is in direct proportion to the violation.

         The global response to this latest mutation of a viral infection is evidence, in my opinion, that a grab is being made for control of the world population under a single authority. That this will succeed at some point is unavoidable as described in Scripture.

         In the end, there are only two sides. There is the side of God, headed by Jesus of Nazareth – The Christ. The opposing side is headed by Lucifer, adversary of all that is good and holy – God.

         The plea of Jesus the Christ – Yeshua Hamashiach – is, “Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Take up my yoke and learn from Me, because I am lowly and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Please don’t mistake humility for weakness. Humility is strength under control.)

         In the end there is only one escape and that leads through death’s door. Even Jesus died. His death erased the guilt from human beings and allows them to enter a relationship with Almighty God.

         But on the third day after He died, He rose to eternal life. This eternal life is a gift that He gives.

         Here’s the catch: That pardon and eternal life is only accessible if you have a personal relationship with the resurrected Savior. It is impossible to have a relationship with Jehovah without a relationship with Yeshua.

         Establishing that relationship is simple. If you know that you have done wrong – admit it and ask for clemency in the name of Jesus the Savior. Abandon the wrong behavior.

         If you ask, you will be forgiven. Then obey the commands, or laws, of Yeshua. These are His commands: Love the Father, Jehovah with all your being and love your neighbor as much as you love yourself.

         That’s it. If you do that, He will teach you about Himself and how He wants you to live.

         The result of this decision is peace and joy even though there is chaos all around you. God has promised to take care of those who are called by His Name. He will be with those who trust Him through their challenges in life.

         After the inevitable death that every human must face, there will be trouble free life that never ends for believers. That life will be in the presence of and with Jehovah God and Yeshua Hamashiach.

         The alternative is chaos and trouble in this life and punishment that lasts forever after death.

         Here’s the thing. Those of us who claim Jesus Christ as Savior, and do our best to be obedient, have no fear of the coming one world government, however it arrives. The trouble of that time will be short lived – only seven years, tops.

         Make no mistake – there is going to be a lot of trouble during those days. But the promises made to believers in Yeshua are much greater than anything we endure in this life.

         In this life, there is always going to be trouble. Some trouble is more, and some trouble is less. This current COVID-19 pandemic is only one of many troubles that have already happened and that are on the horizon.

         There is only one certain escape from trouble – The Savior – Yeshua Hamashiach, Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ. There are two choices – believe or reject – with their associated results.

         Death will claim each of us – whether it is coronavirus or something else. Each one of us have a choice to make that will determine if we live or stay dead after the grave.

         The two choices are life and death. God wants you to choose life. Read the Bible. Get to know Yeshua.
